Styx: Shards of Darkness Releases New Trailer

It’s all about stealth in the latest Styx: Shards of Darkness trailer

Styx: Shards of Darkness

Styx: Shards of Darkness may be steadily creeping toward its March 2017 release date, but that’s still a bit of a wait. So, to help slake the thirst of those eagerly awaiting the game’s release, publisher Focus Home Interactive has released a new trailer.

Titled “Art of Stealth”, this trailer gives players a glimpse at the powers that they will be able to control in Styx: Shards of Darkness as they watch Styx breach enemy Elven defenses using a number of tricks and tools including throwing daggers, traps, and even a chandelier – all in an attempt to steal the magical and highly sought-after Quartz.

Of course, Styx doesn’t only use tools. Thanks to the amber flowing within his veins, Styx can employ a variety of unique abilities. Players will be able to take advantage of Styx’s amber vision, ability to turn invisible, and even the ability to make clones of Styx in order to make sure that each mission goes as smoothly as possible. Only by making use of all of Styx’s abilities will players be able steal the Quartz and make it out alive.

Styx: Shards of Darkness will be available in March 2017, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Those who pre-order the game through Steam are eligible for a 10% discount, as well as access to the Akenash set – a special pack that contains the outfit and dagger used by Styx in his first adventure.

Starting out with nothing more than a Game Boy and a copy of Donkey Kong Land, Kenny has happily been gaming for almost his entire life. Easily-excitable and a bit on the chatty side, Kenny has always been eager to share gaming-related thoughts, opinions, and news with others and has been doing so on Hey Poor Player since 2014 and has previously worked with both PKMNcast and SCATcast. Although his taste in gaming spreads across a wide number of companies and consoles, Kenny holds a particular fondness for Nintendo handheld consoles. He is also very proud of his amiibo collection. You can also find him on Twitter @SuperBayleef talking about video games and general nonsense. Some of his favorite games include Tetris Attack, Pokémon Black Version 2, The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Yo-kai Watch, Donkey Kong Country 2, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Kirby's Dreamland 3, Mega Man X, and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (among many others).
